Usually a small card with the table name/number printed upon it and often tucked inside an envelope addressed to individual guests, escort cards work in much the same way as a table plan, directing guest to their table. You could add a personal touch by printing an explanation for the table name, a romantic quotation or a witty note that ties in with your theme or the intended recipient.

Although often arranged alphabetically for ease, there are many ways to display escort cards. Tie tag style escort cards to twigs in a vintage vase, or anchor escort cards in envelopes between lengths of organza ribbon on a table, or tie to favours for guests to take with them to the table.
