Katharine Thorley
I’m Katharine, the founder of Borrowed Blue Wedding. I began creating wedding stationery in 2004 and since those halcyon days in the garden shed, wonderfully talented individuals have joined the team and helped shape the company we are today – dedicated to creating exceptionally beautiful hand-made stationery using the finest materials with personal and perfectionist service. We have honed our craft and developed our inimitable style whilst our passion for creativity remains steadfast and strong as ever. We enjoy a diverse clientele which has included celebrities and royalty and our work is regularly featured in leading wedding titles. We are immensely proud of what we create and to be able to say we love what we do.
Jenny Oliver
I’m Jenny, the proof designer at Borrowed Blue Wedding. Before joining the company I graduated from Bournemouth Arts Institute. I have always enjoyed creative projects from designing costumes to painting portraits so a job with opportunities to create and make unique stationery is perfect for me. I take you from initial design ideas through to the finished article, involving the invitation design, wording, choice of fonts, text lay-out and the finer details. I am proud to be part of such a professional team. Every week we receive outstanding positive feedback from our clients and it is wonderful to see how our company goes from strength to strength. It is very satisfying to know that we have contributed to so many couple’s special day.
Alice Heggie
I’m Alice, production manager for Borrowed Blue Wedding. I joined the company in 2006 as a part-time assistant, just before studying for my degree, and after graduating from The University of Kent I happily stayed on as production manager. I now take great pleasure in helping our couples design and organise every element of their stationery (sometimes over several years, from save the dates right through to christening invitations for their first-born!). Having always been very creative and dexterous I take great pride in being able to create such beautiful stationery with such a lovely team.
Kate Everett
I’m Kate and I joined the lovely ladies at Borrowed Blue Wedding in 2009 after studying art and design at Canterbury and Maidstone UCA. With particular passions for illustration and print making I have a love for all things creative which is why creating beautiful handmade invitations and keepsakes suits me down to the ground as it really lets my artistic flair flow! My role is Production Assistant so once your stationery designs are confirmed, Alice and I bring them to life! I also help you to kick start the invitation process by making beautiful custom sample packs to help you arrive at your final design, this is my favourite part of my job so you can be sure you’ll be recieving well thought out and personal samples made just for you.
